Hearts for the children ministry was blessed by several teams this past spring and summer from different Churches.

The four teams came to do a variety of ministry as you will see from the pictures I will post. Each team came with a vision of their own, however we asked each team to prepare youth activities, as our hearts desire was to get as many of the older youth off of the streets at night and into something more meaningful.

It is without question that the only way a community can change all of it’s cultural habits and customs and believe that they are worthy of something different and more fulfilling is to meet Jesus.

A lot of construction was done by the teams, as was medical, dental and eye clinics, outreach to the citizens of the Guatemala City Dump, outreach to the street people we minister to, home dinner sit downs with families as well as VBS and food programs and a lot of fun playing games and ministering to the new youth who came to see and hear.

Sometimes God tells Tom to go out and find a village where His people need to hear His word. Prior to the teams arrival His Holy Spirit led Tom up a mountain not more that 20 minutes from our Ministry House and there Tom found a new formed village, of 350 families who have no water or power hardly anything that could be called a house and no resources, A team set up a medical, dental and eye clinic and ministered to hundreds of forgotten people for two days.

Teams travelled to Panajachel to see God’s beauty of the Lake and the volcanoes, to Guatemala City and to the wonderful excitement of Antigua where site seeing and shopping was the topic of the day and to swim and frolic on the black sand of the Pacific Ocean beaches.
